One of my favourite urban myth stories is the Nazis searching JW houses and not being able to see for example...... a suitcase of literature on a table......oh dear......that would have been God preventing them eh?

@ designs an excellent point you make. If it was fully explained to a possible new convert what could potentially happen to them should they contravene the rules I'm sure most would not join. The principle method of cults is to limit the amount new or potential members are aware of until it becomes too late for them to leave without loss. This is exactly how Jehovah's Witnesses operate.
@jookbeard Really interesting you managed to avert df'ing on that occasion. Does that mean you later did get Df'ed?
What I need to tell myself about these people is no matter how "nice" they may be or how much you personally like them they will turn their back on anyone. A father , a son , a daughter , grandchild they've never met. They all share the same regard for the org and it's mechanisms. Some find it harder to shun but still do it in their own way.

@foundsheep You can be df'ed for anything...all that's needed is an agenda. In my case one elder with enough power and charisma to sway others.

@thetrueone You know I agree with what you say as an ancient people's morals and way of life even is not applicable in the modern world.
Further to that many of the things recorded in the old testament itself are very questionable from an ethical and moral perspective too.

@listener Well you know truth is a very distant relation to the Watchtower Society and the Governing Body. I personally was shocked when I found the flagrant "twisting" not to mention insertion ,extraction, mistranslation contained in the new world translation. It showed me that these people are more interested in perpetuating their own floundering existence than actual truth and intellectual honesty. The lies they continue to peddle regarding established history in the case of 607 B.C.E. is a case in point. They need this date for the foundation of their doctrinal cornerstone of 1914 , so will continue to teach 7 million people lies.

This post is to expose the unethical, un-scriptural actions of the men involved in the "judicial" processes of jehovah's Witneses. The lack of fair minded impartial justice shown to me during my "judicial" case is a result of what they (the elders) are directed to do by the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesess. I am not alone of course. Many people have been through similar and will do again in the future, sadly. I hope that those who read this study in it's entirety will acknowledge that what they put people through is wrong on many levels. As you read I hope you will recognise they are seriously flawed in their methods also.
This study has been kindly and painstakingly put together at great effort by an anonymous person who I believe is an active Jehovah's Witness, but feels very strongly about this particular issue. He has given me permission to publish what he has written on his behalf.
The full study is available here to read and I would strongly recommend all to read it. It is a wonderfully well written, well researched and well thought out peice of work. The logic employed is very difficult to refute. Written not as an attack on JWs in any way it brilliantly points out step by step where the author feels things went wrong. I hope you enjoy it.Matt

Full transcripts of judicial case.

i documented the whole process and recorded it which you can find here:- death or obedience.
many people asked for english transcripts of these recordings and i'm pleased to say i now have full transcripts kindly supplied anonymously for those who wish to read them.. these will be of great help to those who have trouble hearing or cannot understand the scottish accents on the recordings.. they are available here:- the trial of a jehovah's witness the new site has it's own audio link for each transcript so you can listen along as you read.. the person who has supplied me is interested in the moral and ethical issues this case has thrown up.
